Responding to Accidents and Other Problems
Peace of mind in times of trouble. We explain the compensation and support systems of Times CAR RENTAL in this section.
You are requested to observe the following if you ever get involved in an accident. Do not settle the matter privately, and make sure to report the accident to the police.
*Do not negotiate a private settlement on the spot. Making a private settlement will render you ineligible to receive insurance and compensation benefits.
What to Do When Involved in an Accident or Having Problems with the Vehicle
1. Administer first aid to injured persons
Administer any first aid that you can if there are any injured persons. In this event, avoid moving the injured party unless necessary.
2. Move the vehicle to a safe location
Move the vehicle to a safe location to prevent further damage. On expressways where it is difficult to move the vehicle, keep it safe by using warning triangles and flares.
3. Report the accident to the police
Make sure to report the accident to the police.
4. Confirm the identity of the other party
If another party is involved in the accident, make sure to get the following details:
- Location of the accident
- The other party’s name and contact information
5. Report the accident to the Accident/Roadside Assistance Customer Center
The Times CAR RENTAL Accident/Roadside Assistance Customer Center is open 24 hours a day or 365 days a year, and offers its services in 10 languages.
*The contact number is listed on the Rental Guide given to you when you picked up the vehicle.
- Keys locked inside the vehicle
- Engine trouble
- Running out of gas
- Getting stuck in a ditch, etc.

Non-Operation Charge (NOC)
In the event that the customer causes an accident or defacement, which requires repairs or cleaning to be made to the vehicle, NOC is the payable sum when the customer is charged a portion of the costs involved in the loss of revenue during the period of repair when the vehicle cannot be used. A fixed sum will be charged in accordance with the vehicle class or model, regardless of the amount of damage and length of the repair period.
