Rental Fee Rules

Cancellation Fee

The following cancellation fees will be incurred if a reservation is cancelled due to the client’s circumstances.
Please note that the reservation will be automatically cancelled if the client fails to contact Times CAR RENTAL within the hour following the scheduled time of vehicle pick-up.

At least 7 days prior to the pick-up date Free of charge
3 to 6 days prior to the pick-up date 20% of the basic rate
1 to 2 days prior to the pick-up date 20% of the basic rate
On the pick-up date 50% of the basic rate
At least 7 days prior to the pick-up date 3 to 6 days prior to the pick-up date 1 to 2 days prior to the pick-up date On the pick-up date
Free of charge 20% of the basic rate 30% of the basic rate 50% of the basic rate

*The cancellation fee can amount up to JPY 6,480 (inclusive of tax). However, up to JPY 12,960 (inclusive of tax) will be charged for cancellations of mini-bus reservations.

Payment

All rental and one-way fees are to be paid when the vehicle is picked up.
Fuel and other additional charges are to be paid when the vehicle is returned.

Hokkaido Summer Rates

If the rental period falls within the summer or the normal period in Hokkaido, the applicable rate will be based on the date of pick-up.
Example: When a vehicle is to be rented from August 31 to September 1 in Hokkaido
The pick-up date is within the summer of Hokkaido, so the basic rate will be charged in summer rates.
The refueling fee, extension fees, and other costs will be charged at normal rates.

Refueling

Fill up the tank with fuel before returning the vehicle. Present the receipt from the gas station to our staff upon return. Refueling in a gas station with attendants is recommended. A refueling fee will be charged if the vehicle is not returned with a tank full of gas.

Extension Fee

Please make sure to contact the concerned station in advance to extend the period of rental. The extension fee will be charged when the vehicle is returned.
